More updates about the new catalog!!

Here's the breakdown of announcements from the National Conference:

  • The most exciting news is that a|s is partnering with Spellbinders....that's right!!!  We will have a new Grand Calibur available.  Now, this is different than the one that currently on the market.  This new machine will fit a full sized 8 1/2" X 11 platform.  For a limited time, this machine will only be available through A Muse Studio!!
  • Of course, with a new machine there's gotta be new dies!!  These dies are exclusive to A Muse Studio and will only work with the new machine.
  • Most of the items in the Holiday catalog carried over to the new 2012 catalog....I believe only 3 items didn't make it.  I loved our Holiday catalog, so I'm very happy to see that most items will not retire.
  • There are over 40 new stamps!!!!
  • Many of you are familiar with the classic A Muse Polka Dot paper.  It was one of my favorite patterns.  We will have a re-designed Polka Dot pattern (picture in the previous post).  I love it.  While the old Polka Dot was on vanilla paper, the new one will be on sugar!! YAY!!  The dots are smaller with a uniform pattern.  They are available in the same colors.
  • Signature Palette - This year, the palette is called Venetian.  It is A-Mazing!!!  You will love the new colors in solid cardstock, patterned cardstock (pictures in previous post), ink pads, and satin ribbon.
  • Our base colors will be changing slightly.  As announced in the Retiring Product list, Cranberry will not be returning.  However, you will see slight adjustments to the colors in our season palettes with a few colors moving to new seasons AND... new colors!!!  There will be a new Base Palette which will include Sugar, Onyx, Slate, Seattle (new color..can you guess the color???),   Pebble (from the Holiday catalog) and Vanilla.  New colors added to the seasons:  Grape, Pistachio, and Grapefruit.
  • New ribbon!!!! There will be a couple different styles:  Chevron and Crushed.
  • There will be some new "other" paper added in the new catalog.
  • Shimmer cardstock (both solid and damask) will be available in assorted packs.
  • Something that many of the consultants have been wishing for is coming true - - - - you will be able to place an order for an item that is on backorder (out of stock).  The item will be mailed separately as soon as it is additional shipping charge!!!

I'm sure there's more than this snippet that has been provided.  So, stay tuned!!  Email me (at bjlee717 "at" comcast "dot" net) if you have any questions.

The very FIRST A Muse Studio Conference and sneak peeks

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend our very first national bummed!!!  This year, the conference was held in New Orleans.  I've never been to NOLA, so it would have been so exciting if I could have attended to not only attend the conference, but also to experience the city.  Many of the ladies and a|s shared photos on their facebook pages and blogs.  Here are some of those photos to show a little sneak peak at some of the new items in the 2012 catalog!! :)

A fellow consultant, Melinda Fisher, is at the conference and shares some photos.....Thank you, Mindy!!!

Mindy shared what the new polka dot paper looks like....yummy!!  We will also have a new signature palette with new paper, ink, etc. And finally, there are new colors being added our base colors.

A Muse studio shared some photos on facebook, as well.  Here's a super gift bag all the attendees received....LUCKY!!

Another picture on A Muse Studio facebook showing some happy faces!!

Finding more ways to organize

A couple weeks ago, I was reading up on a thread on Splitcoaststampers about how people are organizing their daubers and glimmer mists.  Someone posted a rotating tray that they found at Harbor Freight Tools.

Earlier this week, I happened to be driving by a local Harbor Freight store, so I stopped by to pick up a tray.  There were 2 trays left.  I didn't see any price listed, so I asked an employee that was walking by with a price gun if he could get me the price.  He said it was $6.49.  Well, at that price of course I had to get the remaining 2 trays!!!  When I went to the register, it rang up as $19.99.  When I mentioned that I was quoted a price of $6.49, the clerk calls for a manager....I didn't ask him to do that.  Wouldn't you know....the guy who scanned the price with the price gun WAS the manager.  He authorized the clerk to give them to me for the $6.49 he quoted.  I know that there is a store-wide sale this weekend....maybe the trays got priced early for the sale.

Here is what one of the trays looks like now....

I lined the inside of the tray with white CS and trimmed the edges with a|s Sage Gingham Patterned Paper.

Putting the tray together wasn't too hard, but it sure did take longer than I wanted it to.  The kit came with 72 pairs of nuts and bolts!!!  Plus 3 larger pairs for the base.  Just look at the second picture... see all the hardware???  LOL!!!  There are 2 trays with 6 "pies" and 2 trays with 3 "pies".   Can't wait to fill up the trays with more a|s goodies....especially with what may be in store in the new catalog!!!

The bottom 2 trays would be great for jars of buttons.

Love to organize!!!.

Now, I'm going to go find more supplies to fill up the trays and also work on some projects using my pre-order items from the new Catalog.  Stay tuned.....

The most exciting news is that a new catalog will be available on February 1, 2012!!! YAY!!!!  You will absolutely love our new Signature Palette that features some beautiful, warm colors.  Watch for some "sneak peaks". :)

When will the current catalogs expires, you ask?  Both of the 2011 catalog and the Holiday catalog will expire on January 31, 2012 at 11:59PM EST.  There will be some items in the Holiday catalog that are being carried over to the new catalog, but I don't know which items will expire and which items will continue on.  So, don't delay....order your Must-Haves now.  You may shop directly here:

January Spotlight

Welcome to 2012!!!  It's amazing how fast 2011 seemed to end.

I haven't been posting much to my blog in the last couple months or so because life has been too hectic....mainly from trying to catch up.  I haven't had the best luck with my health this last fall/winter with an emergency root canal in October and bronchitis in November.

I finished one more exam (towards my ChFC and CFP designations) on December 29th!!  I am happy to say that I passed.  Now, one more exam and then I sit for my CFP in the spring.  Hopefully, I will pass each test and then be able to craft to my heart's content afterwards.

My wish for you in this New Year is for good health, love and happiness.

To start off the New Year, here is the January Spotlight.

Spotlight pricing is good through 11:59PM Eastern time, January 31, 2012

Contact me to learn more about these projects and the supplies that used to make them.
