January Consultant Challenge: KISS (Keep It Simple Stamping)

This is a last minute submission to this month's A Muse Studio Consultant Challenge.  I don't know where the month went!!!!

I had a great time with this challenge.  It was a way to show off the great colors A Muse Studio carries.  I'm partial to the soft colors.  :)

I made a set of birthday cards using Blush, Sage, Sky and Papaya cardstock and ink.

Here are close up pictures of the cards.

The stamp sets I used were Floral Duet and Contemporary Greetings.

I also made this colorful thank you note.

The base is Ocean cardstock.  I stamped the hearts using Bubblegum, Grass and Ocean ink.  The heart is from the Calendar Fun set and the sentiment is from Contemporary Greetings set.

That's it for now.  Hope you have a terrific Superbowl weekend!!!  GO SEAHAWKS!!!!

Blessings,

Absolutely in love with MISTI!!!!!

I don't know how many times I have bought a tool and then it ends up in the tool graveyard....waste of time and money!!!!

Well, I want to tell you about THE BEST tool I purchased.  It's called the MISTI (Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented).  Truly, it lives up to its name.

I can't tell you how much time and supplies this little tool has saved me.  My sister recruited me to make her Christmas cards.  I had to make over 100 cards in less than a week!!!!  Yep, she waited until the very last minute. LOL!!!

Meet MISTI:

What I love about the MISTI:
  • You can use both cling mount stamps and clear stamps (does not work with wood mounted stamps)
  • If you didn't stamp the image evenly, all you have to do is reink and stamp over the image again - the stamp hits the paper in the exact spot it did the first time (saves SO much cardstock and time!!!!)
  • You can use it to line up die cuts and stamps (again, saves SO much cardstock and time!!!!)
  • It's flat and doesn't take up a lot of space
  • It's portable (almost the size of a tablet)
  • You can reorder the grid paper pad or you can download the free template and print them yourself
  • The grid on the lid is perfect for cardmakers

I'm sure I'll come up with more reasons why I love the MISTI as I use it more.

Here's how I used the MISTI.

I wanted to use My Favorite Things Die-namics Horizontal Stitched Strips for my sentiment layer.  I die cut a strip on just a piece of scrap cardstock

I lined up the sentiment to center perfectly on the die cut piece and then shut the lid.  The stamp clings to the lid, just where you placed the stamp (as shown below).

I stamped the sentiment on the die cut (white cardstock)...because I have the template (red cardstock), it was super fast to just lay the next die cut in place and stamp the sentiment.

Here's a video from Iliana (owner) introducing the MISTI:
