Cupcake Birthday and DIY Candy Dots - Final March Consultant Challenge Card

Well, I had another sleepless night.  Instead of making a card though, I made some candy dots.

In February, I won blog candy that included some Recollections Enamel Dot Stickers.

I figured I could make them myself.  It was SO easy and a great way to use up the scraps.  I used a regular hand punch on Shimmer Cardstock to punch out a bunch of circles.  Then I dabbed on some Crystal Clear Glaze to each punched circle.  All it took was just a dot of Crystal Clear Glaze to make them look dimensional.

I let them dry overnight (yep, finally went to bed).  They turned out like this:

So pretty!!

Here's a birthday card I made using these candy dots.

I love the confetti look the dots gave to my card.  Here are some close up pictures:

I paperpieced the cupcake together and used foam tape to adhere to the base of the card.

I framed the sentiment using the Vintage Labels 2 die set.  (When you cut out the frame, there's an indentation along the border.  I hand-cut along the indentation.  I cut out another piece to create the layer).

Supplies used:  Hey Cupcake stamp set, Shimmer Cardstock (Bubblegum, Sugar, French Roast, Bermuda, Lime), Bubblegum Ink, Stazon Jet Black Ink, Vintage Labels 2 die set.

Have a great rest of the weekend.  It always amazes me how quickly the weekends go by.

Blessings,
